MARITIMO LAUNCHES ‘BEAMY’ M59 CRUISING MOTOR YACHT AT MIAMI

Leading Australian luxury cruiser manufacturer, Maritimo, is set to have the world premier of its new M59 cruising motor yacht at the Miami International Boat Show starting on February 16th.

Maritimo International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, who is headed to the USA for the show, said the M59, with a price tag of US$2.140m , is a three cabin, two bathroom vessel with a wide beam and large back opening lazerette similar to that on the company’s larger motor yacht the M64, and smallest yacht the M51.

“The back of the boat opens up to a large storage space which is perfect for a tender and all the water toys you could want,” he said. “The cockpit is accessed from both sides with openings to the hydraulic swim platform (optional) and because of the boat’s large beam the space is substantial. The 5.36 metre beam on the M59 is wider than the Maritimo M62. The M59 will be unveiled to the world at Miami and we expect it to attract a great deal of interest.”

Maritimo will have four vessels on display at Yachts Miami Beach on Collins Avenue including the M51, M54, M59 and M64 motor yachts in its model range.

Dealer partners involved in the show include Galati Yacht Sales, Staten Island Yacht Sales, Compass Point Yachts, Newport Beach and Silver Seas Yacht Sales.

Haines said Miami International Boat Show would be a good litmus test of the economy and confidence levels in the USA being the first major international boat show since the election.

“From all reports we are getting there is a level of confidence in the economy in the USA right now that is quite strong,” he said. “Our dealer partners are quietly confident and with the world premier of the M59 we will attract plenty of interest I am sure.”

Galati Yacht Sales President, Joseph Galati said the Maritimo brand is becoming more widely known in the USA.

“Maritimo is synonymous with Aussie toughness and serious boating given the conditions that exist Down Under,” he said. “Combine that with the enclosed flybridge,  quality and high standard of manufacturing that is evident throughout the range and you have a winning combination. The Maritimo USA dealer network is expanding and the new models, including the M59, are very exciting.”

The Miami International Boat Show runs from February 16th to 20th and is one of the largest boat show on the USA annual boat show calendar. In 2016 it attracted more than 100,000 people.

Haines said Maritimo had been displaying its vessels at each Miami show for many years. He said immediately after the Miami show, Maritimo would be on display at the Palm Beach International Boat Show between March 23 and March 26.
