I am the proud owner of a 15 m x 5.1 m Nustar power cat and have used the Southport Yacht Club’s lift for annual wash down and barnacle remover (no anti-foul due to pollution issues).

The SYC indicated that due to re-structuring of their facility they were not confident of their ability to lift my vessel. Mainly due to the width issues and placement of piers at the entry to the lift. I also liked the proximity of this apparatus to my Bundall home docking location.

The management of this marina strongly recommended Boat Masters as my best option. This proved to be excellent diagnosis and advice. Would you believe the rates were also considerably more economical.  Peer opinions are always best sources of information, especially from direct competitors.

The phone receptionist (Angelina) was extremely welcoming and helpful with plenty of variance in timing arrival and departure. This was vital as I experience bridge issues (Capri Bridge on the Nerang River and tidal levels). The staff at the slip were extremely courteous and helpful even though I arrived late.

The lifting apparatus is excellent and the cleaning was done with a minimum of fuss and very thorough. I will certainly use this facility again and thoroughly recommend Boat Masters to other boaties!

I had a lightweight, quite fragile 12m hull delivered to Boat Masters which was unloaded and stored without any damage. Not the usual boatyard experience!

I then worked on it for 2 weeks in one of their massive, well-lit sheds.  Despite some peculiar requirements, (launching via the walkway, help starting my car, a forklift to weigh the boat, working weekends and nights), the employees were always helpful, skilled and friendly.  Definitely looking for solutions rather than problems.

I strongly recommend Boat Masters to anyone looking for space to work on their boat. Or, judging by the work ethic of the employees, to have work done.

Moving my boat from Mooloolaba and return was a big ask. However, there was a list of items to be addressed, as well as the antifouling, I considered the original Maritimo factory was the best option.  They had previously worked on my boat with a very satisfactory outcome.

This time was no different.  They set to work on all of these tasks, keeping me up to date at all stages.  A tight completion date had all items finished, boat back in the water and sea trialled, a final “tub” as we arrived to return to Mooloolaba.  The final bill was reasonable with no nasty surprises.

I can unhesitatingly recommend Boat Masters to anyone requiring a high quality marine service.

Boat Masters is located at the western end of the main canal that runs into Hope Harbour Marina and as such there is no tide or wind influence when you are negotiating onto the travel lift. An absolute Godsend for those of us without thrusters.
